Just got back into town...the covers look GREAT!!!!
I'll be dropping them off at the engravers Friday nite for him to modify a bit for me...I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.
Once again, they turned out great, the pic above doesn't do them justice, the sparkles really "POP" when the sun hits them!
First rate finish and quality!!!!!

Hey Leanna;
Just got to the shop and guess what was waiting for me, and they look awesome!!!! i took them outside and that metal flake looks and shines way cool.
We should have the motor in this weekend, still waiting for the rearend to get back. Then we have to plumb, electrics and last make a set of headers, we will be cutting it close [for the PINKS ALL OUT event in Norwalk, Ohio on June 7] but that's the fun.
Send those decals out asap, and thanks again you did a great job and I cant wait to put them on the motor.

George, I'm delighted you're happy with the work, and very excited to see my company displayed on your fine race car! The decals should be ready next week.
Thanks again!

If any of you need or want powder coating done I would recommend Phoenix Specialty Coatings (PSC). I recently had our own Leanna do a set of valve covers for me and they are absolutely fantastic. Her work is done with care and the final product shows this care. I would definitely have PSC do more powder coating for me in the future.
Thanks PSC!

I finally got around to sorting out my front end parts and decided to take some pics before I got them all back together. I had these done by Phoenix Specialty Coatings and they turned out great. I had to take the lower control arms out in the sun to get a good pic of them. And these pics [http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=35107] don't do these parts justice at all.
The work was amazing ... And all the parts I sent in were greasy/rusty except one lower control arm.

I met Billy and Leanna when they first started this company and knew right then they were good people. Powder coating is something that takes a lot of patience and attention to detail, so I gave them a challenge -- my billet motorcycle key chain. When I received it back I was amazed at the detail that had been put into it and the colors she chose. "Beautiful" does not begin to describe it.
So then I had them do my 455 Poncho intake in blasted aluminum and it came back perfect. Billy also did repairs on it while he had it, and blocked off my heat risers. Right on you guys!!!!!!!!!!
And yes I carry my keychain everywhere I go and it still looks great.

Re: Phoenix Specialty Coatings
Leanna at Phoenix Specialty Coatings sent me pictures of my old intake.
It is a thing of beauty and looks like a million bucks!! I was shocked when I opened my mail and saw it.
I have to say she made it so easy for me to get this done, and so quickly. She kept me updated each day, and my days stayed excited every time she simply told me how things were going. I told her what I wanted and she picked the correct color to get that new and factory look she knew I was looking for.
If some one here thinks it is hard to get something like this done without digging deep in your pocket, just ask them or me.
I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I had no clue how easy and low cost it was to make this Offy 4 barrel look better than new. Here is to Phoenix Specialty Coatings and a talented lady

Took the 83 Ram out for more test driving today and here is my first rider. I could not keep my eyes off her when I was driving down the road.
Thank you Leanna and Bill!! I am so proud of the perfection ... you fixed and smoothed it out so it will show nicely. Thank you! thank you! thank you.! I am a very proud owner.

Leanna, once again thanks for a job WELL done. I'll certainly be using your services again. P.S. send me some more business cards, I'm sure I'll be handing them out at the track/shows this upcoming season when people see the "NICE" work you do.

Re: Phoenix Specialty Coatings Review
I recently received my alternator case, screws and fabricated bracket from Leanna at Phoenix Specialty Coatings. I had posted a review of my dealings with her up to that date on an early post called "Happy New Year". Don't ask me why I put there, let's just say I had been drinkin' wine and feelin' fine. [http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=29396&highlight=Happy+New+Year]
Anyway, for those of you who hadn't seen it, here it is:
I'm waiting on the parts (they're due on the 7th) that Leanna coated for me, so everyone look for an update on her work by the 8th or 9th. So far, her communication has been extrordinary and she strikes me as a very intelligent woman who knows her business very well and is a true professional.
I had sent her a Bosch alternator case and a bracket I had fabricated, the alternator not being the easiest part to coat due to its intricate shape, many threaded holes and tight tolerances. She had asked all the right questions and I never had to give an instruction twice, which is very confidence inspiring.
Ever see those motorcycle and car shows where they have to scrape excess coating out of bores and tap holes after they get thier parts back? This will not be the case with Leanna's work, nor will you have to deal with some guy with twelve fingers on one hand, a 50 word vocabulary and two teeth. She's the real deal.
I have not received any greater a deal than anyone else could have had this month, so this a true, non-partial review. Please look for my detailed review in the "Mopar General Discussions" section.
Here's my addendum to the previous review:
I have just finished assembling and installing the alternator and all I can say is WOW! Nice job Leanna! As stated before, no sanding, scraping or tapping was necessary. Everthing came together as quickly as if this was a new housing. This says a lot as this alt was a Bosch with a very complex casting with no less than 13 tapped holes, 6 close clearance screw holes, two non removable studs plus two sealed bearing bores, one with an O-ring groove. This quality of work is no doubt due to her exceptional communication skills, enabling me to explain exactly what I needed and what she could do. This no trouble approach also depends on the customer too. When you get in touch with her, have your homework done and know what it is you want done EXACTLY. Leanna can help you with this, but it probably would benefit you as the customer to think a bit about clearances. No different than going to the machinist.
With that said, the coating quality is excellent and very even. It would definitely have been top notch show quality if I had smoothed out some minor scratches and casting flaws in the case and pulley before I sent them out. That's my fault, not Leanna's, and she had even offered to smooth out some parts for me as her and Billy offer this service. This is on a driver truck though, and some times I just have to step back and say "Hey man, I'm not trying to win the Ridler Award" lol! I feel that this alt totally sets off the front of the engine and adds that much more panache to the overall look. This was money very well spent. This sucker just looks so mean with the red block, black heads, red valve covers, black alt and brackets, black PS pump, etc!
Sorry, didn't mean to get off track. Where was I? Oh yeah, Leanna's work. The satin black color that I had both case halves and pulley done in was just as shown on the website and as described. Leanna also suggested and I agreed that the front case screws and alt fan would look good in a coating called "blasted steel". This color is just like it sounds. It's a matte silver that sets off the satin black nicely yet does not look unnatural or out of place.
So, in conclusion, I can wholeheartedly recommend Phoenix Specialty Coatings in every way including quality, color, value, customer service, professionalism and as an overall enjoyable experience. My fiance and I are going to start on a new project soon, a 1974 BMW 2002, as well as my Duster, and Leanna's got my business hands down.

Re: 6 Pak Manifold
I sent my factory Mopar 6 pak intake manifold to Phoenix Specialty Coatings in late July. Since the 1970 AAR Cuda it's going on only has a little over 8,000 miles on the odometer, originality was very important to me, so I did a lot of research and checked out a number of powder coating shops before I sent it anywhere. Those manifolds are extremely rare and expensive, so is my car. It was hard to trust anyone.
When I took it out of the box on August 2, I was amazed at the change. The intake had been coated in a 'blasted aluminum' finish and looked better than I had ever seen it. The rusty hardware and linkage I sent along were a beautiful flat black. The two stripped carb mounting holes had new helicoils and the bottom was now painted in glyptol. Installation on my 340 was a breeze since all the threads were clean / retapped.
The price was more than fair .. the service was fast and professional .. I got everything I asked for and more .. the results are stunning. I'm a very happy customer and PSC has earned my business for life. I highly recommend them. Thanks Leanna and Billy! Keep up the good work!!!

Subject: [BOG] Powdercoating Feedback - 2 Thumbs Up!

Well folks, it looks like I'm number 000001 from the BOG to test out the services of our very own Leanna ~ The CudaChick and her sidekick Billy's new Powdercoating business. I just got back my intake manifold and was impressed with three things:
1 - The quality of the work. Billy personally called me to confirm it was OK to "clean-up" my manifold before coating it. This service was included in the price quoted. It came out GREAT!
2 - The speed of getting my part in and out of their shop. They got my manifold last Friday and it was back out via UPS this Monday afternoon. Unheard of… Weekend service in today's auto service environment??!!
3 – The reasonable price charged for services rendered. I paid about the same/ a little less, including shipping to and from BFE, as I would have to use a sort-of local shop.
Aside from the quality, the time service was far superior with Phoenix Specialty Coatings. I really appreciated the speedy and exceptional service I received. They will have me a customer for all my Powdercoating service needs!! I highly recommend them to each and every BOG member. Here's a plug:
